To become a hero, all he needed was a chance…

Twenty-year-old Kingston Rais is desperate to impress his demanding dad. And the part-time security guard gets an opportunity when he single-handedly thwarts an explosives heist in the Port of Oakland. But though his father remains critical, Kingston’s stunt captivates a billionaire entrepreneur, who recruits him into a private black-ops unit.

Initially pleased to join such an elite force, he quickly discovers he must prove himself again. Forced to complete three high-octane challenges, his acceptance is delayed by tension and betrayal within the team. And when a terrorist attack interrupts an undercover mission, Kingston’s shot at redemption may cost him his life.

Can Kingston step up to the challenge, or will everyone perish in a hail of bullets?

The Kingston Chronicles continues in book two titled Slingshot.

SPOILERS AHEAD! This is the TV pilot that started the entire story of the Kingston Chronicles. I have hesitated in releasing it because it could change by the time I write the third novel. But here is the basic premise of the original idea. At age 30, Kingston’s life is better than he ever could imagined. He’s engaged to Genevieve; he’s transitioned from the black ops division to Titanium Fortress Investments; and is the media darling for the company. But danger simmers just under the surface as Kingston’s boss, and future father-in-law, feels threatened by his popularity and hires a team to assassinate him. Upon hearing what his father has planned, Lincoln finds Kingston and warns him to run. How did his life change so suddenly? Kingston accepts the help of the curiously withdrawn billionaire Sam Waters and three criminals he recruited to escape the boss trying to kill him.
